References Menu
The references menu is only active when the mouse is selecting an item which can be searched over.
Normal Search
This will search for all occurrences of this object in the design. For signals and ports this will only search for local references to the signal. The results are shown below. Double clicking on the object will open the file at this location.
Global Search
The global search method is the same as the normal search method except this will find all occurences for signals and ports.
Path To Signal
The method is similar to a fan-in operation which traces the path to this signal. This is a port search rather than a logic search, so the only results shown are the connections.
Path From Signal
The path from signal is similar to a fan out operation. Like the path-to-signal operation this method is a port search rather than a logic search so the results shown are the connections.
